We hadn’t been in the building for an hour when we heard a noise, repeating and echoing and multiplying as it got closer to where we stood, shivering in the middle of the decrepit hallway. The sound of every lock in the building turning.
I know that the idea of Santa Claus coming down the chimney and him fitting down it is meant to be a magical, heart-warming image. But imagine instead, that Santa Claus contorts his bodies into impossible positions within the small spaces like Pennywise.
“HeLLOo TiMmY! HAVE yOU BEen A GOOD bOY?? ”
“AAaaahhh!!”
Ok but yes after reading it and watching polar express specifically I have to say the chances of Santa and pennywise being the same type of entity feels very possible especially if you watch polar express with the idea that only the children are real and everything else is just Santa’s “magic” tricking the children to see what he wants them to see (such as the conductor and the hobo guy in polar express and in IT he makes the children see monsters) in order to feed off them.
What’s different between the two though is that because Santa is obviously the anti pennywise he feeds of joy (which is why he can come back every year as opposed to ever 27-30 years like penny. Think of it like monsters inc; laughter > fear) and also because of that he doesn’t have to eat the children to gain their energy the way pennywise would.
Also because of this Santa is much much stronger than pennywise. Even pennywise can make someone see an entire house appear differently than in reality, so who’s to say with Santa’s power he couldn’t make them see and experience the train ride.
Long story short Santa and pennywise could definitely be comparable!
